1. Mahindra Thar 5 Door
Mahindra Thar has a massive fan following not only in India but in many parts of the world. The only gripe with the Thar is its in cabin space, and to address that, Mahindra will launch the 5-seater version of its famous SUV sometime at the beginning of the new year. Mahindra Thar 5 Door will offer more features and convenience along with many significant new design elements. Mahindra Thar 5 Door will get the same engine options as the current model.
However, the engine is likely to be tuned to power the larger body and extra added weight. Among the features inside, we are expected to get a 360-degree camera, soft and hard rooftop options, and many other segment-leading features.
2. Hyundai Creta Facelift
The name Hyundai Creta comes in second place on the list of Top 10 Upcoming SUVs in India; the Creta will be introduced with a Facelift in 2024, just like the Kia Seltos. The new Facelifted Hyundai Creta will be introduced in the Indian market with many incremental updates. It will get a 360-degree camera with ADAS, a Fully Digital Instrument Cluster, a better Infotainment Screen, and many other great features. However, the engine options are likely to remain the same with the addition of a new turbo petrol engine, which we saw in the recently launched Seltos Facelift. 3. Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift’s name is number three on the Top 10 Upcoming SUV list. It will be launched after the Hyundai Creta facelift. It will also get the same incremental updates in the features and engine options as the Hyundai Creta. The Alcazar is a jacked up 7-seater version of the Creta. Expect some novelty features over the Creta to justify the premium.
4. Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara 7 seater
The Grand Vitara seven-seater from Maruti also comes in the Top 10 Upcoming SUV list and secures the 4th spot. It will be introduced in the first half of the new year. Currently, a five-seater version of Grand Virata is on sale in the Indian market. The new seven-seater Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will be operated with the vehicle’s current engine. However, more features are expected to be added to differentiate the two. Earlier, it was also announced that it would be offered with ADAS. The car will also have a strong hybrid option.
5. Mahindra XUV 300 Facelift

6. Mahindra XUV 400 EV Facelift
The Mahindra XUV 400 facelift will be launched in the Indian market along with the XUV 300 facelift. Significant changes will also be made in XUV4 00 Electric, and the updates will be based on the 300. Along with the additional creature comforts, there is a possibility of an increase in its range. This EV will be introduced sometime in 2024 and might launch with the XUV 300.
7. Mahindra Bolero Neo plus
With the start of 2024, we expect the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus to be introduced in the Indian market. Mahindra offers the Bolero Neo in a dedicated variant for ambulance usage. A 2.2-liter engine will also power the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus with no difference in either power or torque. It is going to be a ten-seater SUV.
8. Tata Curvv and Curvv EV
In the list of the upcoming top 10 SUVs, Tata Curvv comes at number eight, which will be introduced first in electric and then in ICE guise. Tata Curvv Electric and ICE have been spotted testing on Indian roads several times. The SUV will have many great features and will sit above the Nexon in the lineup.
9. Tata Harrier and Safari petrol
With the start of 2024, we expect Tata to launch the Safari and Harrier with the petrol engine option. Currently, it is offered only with a diesel engine option. Rumors of a petrol variant have been rife for the past few years, especially after the XUV 700 was launched with a competent petrol engine. The last on the list is the Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor. Maruti Suzuki has already introduced a coupe SUV based on the Baleno as the Fronx. After the Joint venture between Toyota and Maruti, expect a Coupe SUV from Toyota based on the Fronx. We expect some additional features over the Fronxx to position it as a competent product in the Indian market. However, as we have seen in the past, there might be little changes in comparison to the Fronx. The Taisor might feature a sunroof, which is missing on the Fronx.
