Indonesia's Maluku province was jolted by a massive earthquake measuring 7.2 on the Richter scale

As per the country's meteorology agency BMKGI it did not trigger a tsunami

The earthquake occurred at around 11.52 a.m. local time

The epicentre was 251 km northwest of Maluku, Tenggara Barat (Tanimbar Islands) district, and the depth was 10 km under the sea floor
